Terms of Use
The terms under which you may use the 6 Degrees mobile app.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the 6 Degrees mobile application ("App") provided by Northvale Pixel Labs ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Licence to Use the App
Northvale Pixel Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to download and use the App for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on the App except as permitted by applicable law.
2. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, puzzles, word chains, artwork, branding, and all associated content, is owned by Northvale Pixel Labs and is protected by intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by Northvale Pixel Labs.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose — solving daily word-chain puzzles. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Use automated tools to access or interact with the App
- Remove or alter any copyright or trademark notices
4. Availability of the Daily Puzzle
The App provides one new daily puzzle per day. Northvale Pixel Labs intends to make daily puzzles available on an ongoing basis but does not guarantee that a puzzle will always be available on any particular day or at any particular time.
5. Service Changes
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time, including changes to gameplay, statistics tracking, or the daily puzzle format. We may release new versions of the App that change or remove existing features. We will not be liable to you for any such changes.
6. No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Availability
The App is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. The App may be affected by factors outside our control, including your device, operating system, internet connection, and third-party services such as Firebase.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymous usage analytics. Your use of the App is also subject to the terms and privacy practices of Google and your device's platform provider (Apple or Google). Northvale Pixel Labs is not responsible for the practices of these third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Northvale Pixel Labs does not warrant that the App will be free of errors, that puzzles will always be correct, or that the App will meet your specific requirements. To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Northvale Pixel Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Because the App is provided free of charge, Northvale Pixel Labs's total liability for any claim arising from the App is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain types of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Northvale Pixel Labs may discontinue the App or revoke your licence at any time if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, the licence granted to you ends, but sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where you reside, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit any statutory consumer rights you may have under the mandatory laws of your country or region of residence. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
