This Privacy Policy explains how Northvale Pixel Labs ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the 6 Degrees mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to being transparent about what data is collected and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

6 Degrees does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, age, or date of birth. There is no form within the App that asks you to enter personal information.

Information collected automatically

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage analytics. Firebase Analytics may collect technical and usage information, which may include:

• App interactions and events (such as "app opened" or "game started")
• App version
• Device and operating-system information
• General technical information associated with an app installation
• Automatically generated Firebase installation and analytics identifiers
• Approximate analytics information provided by Firebase where applicable

What is NOT collected

• The App does not require an account or sign-in.
• The App does not collect your name, email address, age, or date of birth.
• The App does not upload the actual words you guess. The text you enter is checked locally on your device and is not sent to analytics.
• The App does not provide a social network or messaging system.
• The App does not store gameplay history on a Northvale Pixel Labs server.

2. Firebase Analytics

The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase, provided by Google, for anonymous app usage measurement. Firebase Analytics processes technical information and automatically generated identifiers to help us understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the App.

The App sends the following types of analytics events to Firebase Analytics:

• App opened
• Game started
• A guess was submitted
• Whether a submitted guess was correct
• Puzzle completed
• Completion time / time category
• Number of guesses
• Number of incorrect guesses
• Stats viewed
• Share button tapped

The actual word entered by the player is never sent to analytics. Only the event metadata described above is sent.

The App does not deliberately send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying personal information to Firebase Analytics.

3. Purposes of Analytics

The anonymous usage analytics collected through Firebase Analytics are used for the following purposes:

• Measuring how the App is used in aggregate
• Understanding which features are used and how often
• Identifying bugs and improving app stability
• Improving the puzzle experience over time

Analytics data is not used to identify individual users or to build profiles for targeted advertising.

4. Local Device Storage

Your game progress and personal statistics — including streaks, completion times, guess statistics, and your local top-ten results list — are stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to or stored on Northvale Pixel Labs servers.

Because this data lives on your device, it remains under your control. Northvale Pixel Labs cannot remotely access, read, or delete data stored locally on your device.

5. Sharing of Information

The only third party that receives information from the App is Google, through Firebase Analytics, as described above. Northvale Pixel Labs does not share information collected by the App with any other third parties.

6. No Sale of Personal Information

Northvale Pixel Labs does not sell personal information to anyone. We do not sell or rent the data collected through the App.

7. No Targeted Advertising

The App does not contain advertising and does not use personal data for targeted advertising. Analytics data is not used for ad profiling or cross-app tracking.

8. No Accounts

6 Degrees does not offer account creation or login. Because there are no accounts, there is no account-deletion feature. Users can remove locally stored game progress and statistics by deleting the App or clearing its app data (see Deletion of Local Data).

9. Children's Privacy

6 Degrees is a casual word puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not require an account or ask for personal information, and the only data collected is anonymous usage analytics through Firebase Analytics, no special parental consent is required for use of the App.

If you believe a child has provided information to the App, please contact us at northvalepixellabs@google.com and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Data Retention

Locally stored game data (progress and statistics) is retained on your device until you delete the App or clear its app data. Northvale Pixel Labs does not retain this data because it is not transmitted to our servers.

Analytics data sent to Firebase Analytics is retained by Google according to Google's own data retention policies. For more information, see Firebase Privacy Information and Google's Privacy Policy.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the App and the data it collects. However, no method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. Locally stored data is protected by the security features of your device's operating system. Analytics data transmitted to Firebase Analytics is handled by Google's infrastructure.

12. International Processing

If you use the App outside of the region where Northvale Pixel Labs operates, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. Google (Firebase Analytics) may process data in countries where its servers are located. By using the App, you acknowledge that anonymous analytics data may be processed by Google in accordance with its global data practices.

13. User Choices

Because the App does not require an account and does not collect directly identifying personal information, there is no profile to manage. Your choices regarding data are:

• Local data: You can delete your locally stored game progress and statistics at any time by deleting the App or clearing its app data.
• Analytics: Analytics data is collected anonymously through Firebase Analytics. You may be able to limit analytics data collection through your device's privacy settings or advertising identifier settings. See your device's settings for options to reset or limit the advertising identifier, which may affect Firebase Analytics data collection.

14. Deletion of Local Data

You can remove all locally stored game data — including progress, statistics, streaks, and your top-ten results — by doing either of the following:

• Delete the App from your device.
• Clear the App's data through your device's settings (on Android) or offload/remove the App (on iOS).

Northvale Pixel Labs cannot remotely delete data stored locally on your device. Only you can remove it using the methods above.

15. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• Google Firebase / Google Analytics for Firebase — used for anonymous usage analytics. See Firebase Privacy Information and Google's Privacy Policy.

The App also uses standard Flutter packages for functions such as sharing, local storage, and opening links. These packages provide standard platform functionality and are not used to collect personal information unless they do so as part of their normal operation, in which case their data practices are governed by the platform (iOS or Android) and the package provider.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If advertising is introduced in a future version of the App, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that version is released.
