How to Play

The Challenge

Each puzzle contains six connected words arranged in a chain. The first and last words are revealed. The four words between them are hidden — and those are the ones you need to find.

The Rule

Every adjacent pair of words in the chain must form a recognisable phrase, compound word or common expression. That connection is what links each word to the next.

Example chain (not a daily puzzle): COLD → SWEAT → BAND → ROLE → MODEL → GOLD

Solving

• You solve the four hidden words in order, from left to right.
• The exact intended word is required for each position — close guesses won't count.
• When you've entered the correct number of letters, the game automatically checks your answer.
• If your answer is wrong, it's cleared and the timer keeps running — try again.
• The puzzle is complete when all four hidden words have been solved.

The Timer

A timer starts the moment you begin the puzzle and stops when you've solved all four hidden words. Your completion time is saved to your personal statistics.

Hints

Stuck on a word? You can request a hint. A hint reveals one correct letter in the current word you're solving. Each hint you use adds 30 seconds to your completion time, so use them wisely.

Statistics

6 Degrees tracks your performance locally on your device:

• Current streak and best streak
• Best, average and median completion times
• Guess statistics
• A local top-ten results list

There are no multiplayer features and no global leaderboard — it's just you and your personal bests.

Sharing

When you finish a puzzle, you can share your result. Sharing is spoiler-free — it shows your performance without revealing the answers, so your friends can still enjoy the puzzle.
